THE QUARRY | A PEDREIRA
Marbella produces marbles that are unique within geology, as it is an important marble body above a granite mountain.
During the geological formation, there have been interactions between these two materials. Therefore, the marbles have a high content of silicon, are very translucent and more resistant than some granites.
These materials, when backlit, reveal a beautiful chromatic variation, even cut to a thickness of 5 cm.
A pedreira da Marbella é um importante corpo de mármore por cima de uma montanha de granito.
Durante a formação geológica, houve uma série de interações entre esses dois materiais, o que faz com que o mármore da Marbella tenha alto teor de silício e elevada resistência mecânica.
Além disso, devido à sua formação cristalina, quando retro iluminados estes materiais revelam uma belíssima variação cromática, mesmo em chapas de 5 cm de espessura.
